Alvin Kean Wong, born and raised in Singapore, has always been drawn to artistic expression despite his formal education in mechanical engineering. His passion for photography began at the age of 8 when he picked up his first camera. What started as an after-school pastime grew into a powerful medium for exploration, understanding, and travel.
After a stint in the Air Force, Alvin moved to New York in 2009, where he embarked on a decade-long apprenticeship under some of the most acclaimed commercial and fashion photographers in the industry. This invaluable experience shaped his technical skills and artistic vision.
Storytelling
In 2019, Alvin set out to develop his own distinct voice in portraiture and storytelling. His unique approach to documentary photography seamlessly blends authenticity with creative artistry. By capturing raw emotion and real-life narratives, Alvin’s work resonates deeply with his audience and clients.
His dedication to his craft has led him to collaborate with top international celebrities, renowned brands, and prestigious publications.
